Thank you for visiting my website. My goal is to share and communicate what I have learnt during my many years of making, studying and teaching visual arts. I began my artistic journey as a child with a passion for painting and photography, nurtured by exceptional teachers and my inspirational family.
Please enjoy viewing my art Portfolio which contains collections of artworks from different periods of my life.
You will also find a page of Artmaking Insights I have gathered from years of study in esoteric teachings pertaining to creating art.
Through my Circuits of Creativity Blog I aim to inspire others with ways to tap into their creative potential.
For me art is more than just a visual experience; it is a conduit where I can express the vital energy that flows through me. This energy, known by various names across different cultures (such as Prana, Qi, Pneuma, Manitou, and Mana), is the essence of life and creativity.
In creating my own art and teaching art to young people, I have observed that unrestricted creative play allows life force energy to flow freely, enabling the expression of each individual's unique signature.
Creating art often involves entering a flow state, where time seems to dissolve and focus becomes effortless. This state is akin to play, where boundaries blur between imagination and reality. In this realm, rules can bend, and experimentation flourishes. Play in art is about embracing spontaneity, exploring without fear of mistakes, and allowing the creative process to unfold naturally.
Creating visual images is my natural way of realising and expressing the energy that flows through me into physical form.
I have become aware that when I let go of all expectations, conditions and restrictions while making art the outcome has a life of itself and I am the channel through which it has come into being.
My greatest wish as an artist is to invite my viewers to connect with and interpret the energy themselves and feel a sense of vitality and upliftment in my artwork.
I also want to communicate to others that there is an untapped, ever flowing source of creation that is available to everyone, without restriction. And moreover, that it is freely available to be harnessed for upliftment and inspiration.
